Caley Ashpole is a self-taught artist living in Far North Queensland, where she draws inspiration from her love of interior styling and the great outdoors. Her artwork is heavily influenced by tropical designs and incorporates sea shells, coral, palm trees, and birds. Caley's grandfather, an Australian artist in the 1970s, also serves as a significant source of inspiration. Furthermore, her maternal grandfather's roots in Kiribati, specifically on Abaiang Island, has a special place in her heart.

Caley is one of the granddaughters of Thomas Hoyle & Sons, renowned textile manufacturers from Manchester. In 1782, Thomas Hoyle established the Mayfield Print Works and revolutionized the textile industry with innovative cloth-printing techniques, notably making the colour purple affordable to the masses. His contributions, along with those of Sir Richard Arkwright, were pivotal in Manchester's cotton revolution during the 18th century.

Caley's artwork has been featured in Pacific Island Living Magazine, the largest distributed magazine in the South Pacific. The publication can be found in Qantas and Virgin lounges in Australia, leading hotels from Melbourne to Cairns, 150 hotels on the North Island of New Zealand, and selected airport lounges such as the Emperor Lounge at Auckland Airport. The magazine is also available at Hong Kong and Singapore airport lounges, hotels, and clubs, as well as on its all-new website, which features every page of every edition online along with news, reviews, products, and competitions for the Pacific.

Her work is admired by the founders of Bahamas-born rum label Idle Assembly, Roger Nisbet and David Flint Wood (husband of India Hicks).
Caley's original artworks are now available at Coastal Vintage Noosa, adding to her growing presence in the art world.

Before pursuing her passion for art, Caley completed a Diploma of Interior Design and worked in the Radio and Broadcasting Industry. She became a mother and put her career on hold until her father's sudden passing in 2020 reignited her love of designing and creating beautiful art. Her husband describes her decor, humor, and painting style as "eccentric."

Caley's ultimate goal is to spread joy and make people smile through her art and help them decorate their homes. Follow her on Instagram @caleyashpole to stay up to date on her artistic journey and latest works or email her at caleyashpole@gmail.com.
